John Montagu Sandwich Bar in Munich

Disappointing. Does not have the items on the menu and canceled my Grab order.

The place is nice, the sandwich is more like a tartine, one piece of bread with stuff on it. You're as hungry when you walked out as you are when you walked in. They charge you service charge, but I'm not sure which service is that for? The waiter walked 2,5m from the kitchen to the table and that's it. That service charge is not the best money/service ratio I've seen but hey... welcome to Canggu, the land of the Instagram/Vegan/Quinoa/Holding-a-surf-board-pretending-to-be-surfing people.

Average food. Average service. Plenty of better places to go, but you don't know if you don't try.

I would rate it zero stars if I can. They wont allow payment with card even though they have a machine. Food wasn't that good good either. Worst experience in bali for weeks.

Great place for breakfast and lunch

WiFi 40/40?? got the grill pumpkin-mozzarella sandy - pretty dang good! Have to come back for salads which look bomb. One AC unit but open air w ceiling fans per usual ?

Here's Wing Awesome .. 40k but three wings, three sticks come out. It's empty but it's not cheap but it's nice and relaxing! recommendation

Cool atmosphere and a very friendly staff. Stopped by for a quick espresso to take a break from the heat. Service was quick and the coffee tasted great. Highly recommended!

Was delicious ! I have a lot of intorances and the woman serving us was so loveley and helpful. I got gluten free bread with spinach, feta with a tomato omelette and it was SO FRESH AND SO GOOD!!!

Worst lunch in Canggu in 4 months I asked what "pulled pork" was and a girl replied it was chicken. Then I said I only wanted water and a sandwich and she asked me 3 times if I wanted a juice, I imagine it's because water is free. My sandwich was quite bad, the bread was hot in the upper part and cold under. I think because of the filling I think, I have stomachache now. When I paid (80k for all), they said they hadn't enough change so they keeped their tip.

One of the best sandwiches in my life. I had a warm pesto, and the ciabatta is so soft it's easy for me to bite. Minus one star for the horrible coffee

Worst restaurant experience in Bali! Ordered food for four. Wanted no onions, got many onions. Burger should have been served with fries (said in the menu) but came with less than a hand full of raw dried potatoes. Sandwich with guacamole had no guacamole. We could not get the Shrimp sandwich because “shrimp needs too long to be cooked“ (?!?) so we got chicken instead. We wanted a coke and got a coke light. Because we had someone with diabetis we asked for coke WITH sugar and they told us that it is normal coke, just the can has the wrong print (?!?). Very high prices for less food and 15% service charge and extra govermental charge (never paid that before).

We stopped by at noon on Monday and spontaneously decided to have a bite to eat. It was really worth it. Almost everything is homemade at Montagu, including bread and brownies. Lots of drinks with their own creations. Delicious. That's why we decided to come here again in the evening. That, in turn, wasn't a good idea, not because it didn't taste good, on the contrary, it was very tasty again, only we were the only guests. The Montagu is better known for having delicious salads or a sandwich for lunch. The prices are absolutely affordable because almost everything is homemade. Rather to be classified in the favorable area. The music is also unique and fits the concept. A scooter shop with very polite staff. Look at the pictures, I also uploaded a video?

Delicious food next to great shopping

Very nice sandwiches and nice staff. The prices are fair and you can sit nice at the street under some green plants.

Make enough sandwith breakfast and coffee from this restaurant, very ok

LUNCH: Beer not cold. Pretty tasteless chicken burger. Very average. Will not go back.

Really bad, the bread is not real ciabatta and the Chicken buffalo sandwich didn’t contain any blue cheese which it said it the menu.

The decor is magnificent ... the service impeccable. We took Bénédicte eggs: delicious bread and avocado. A very good chia pudding but there was a little too much coconut milk for my taste but it remains good.

Amazing but much better earlier in the day, they are popular so they run out of things as the day goes on.

Cafe

We loved the food when we visited in Jan 2017. This year the upstairs was closed, the staff had been so nice that worked upstairs. Downstairs we had to sit at the back of the cafe where their music speaker full on blasted us. Just too loud for lunchtime. The juices are great-just sit away from the speaker.

The sandwich bar I stopped by before going to The practice! You can buy a pre-made sandwich right away, or if you talk about it, you can bring a homemade sandwich on the spot. Healthy taste is full

The best contemporary fusion healthy cuisine in the whole Bali on my opinion and my friend's one. Dishes are HUGE and food is amazingly tasty. Coffee is the best one I've ever tried - the cappuccino. Also service is great. I visited the place every day even if stayed 10 km far from it - the place really worth driving am hour

You can put together your own salad / sandwich / burger and the salad is simply incredibly delicious! The best I've eaten so far :)

place is supposed to close at 11pm, reached there by 10.30pm to be told it's closed. just wanted a sandwich, which they still had some in the fridge, but staff didn't feel like selling me anything, won't try again

Went here once with friend, I love the ambiance and the food. The staff is friendly though they made mistake in my order. I was in the good mood at that moment so i didn't complain.

Expensive but quality

Great decor and vibe. A credit to the owner and their vision. I only had the Spirulina smoothie bowl here. Compared to the other smoothie bowls in town it was very bare. There's virtually no fruit in this, despite the long list of ingredients. There were no bananas to be found or chocolate. The smoothly was quite watery. It's only their most expensive all day breakfast option at 75K (incl. of taxes)! I whole point of having a smoothie in a bowl is that it's loaded with cut fruit. It may as well have been served in a glass. I felt financially violated, it's a complete rip off. Such a disappointment. Maybe the rest of the menu is ok. The service is fine and the waitress apologised for it not meeting my expectations, but with apathy. As I was paying I complained again saying "I've spent 75k and Im not even full" this lady was much more receptive. She apologised, thanked me for the feedback and gave me a brownie to takeaway. So thank you to you! No surprise its usually empty. Try somewhere else if you actually want to feel full. So overall, expensive and an emaciated meal.

Beautiful attractively decorated place with good food and very friendly staff. It is cozy and relaxed.

Ordered take away. Beef rendang sandwich was just simmered beef with store-bought hot sauce on top and some carrots. Carrots were the best part. The chicken ceaser sandwich (that was supposed to be the redeemer) was full of cartilage and just bland. The Udon and and brown rice bowls my friends ordered were equally poor in taste and presentation. These guys have to seriously look at what's up with the kitchen.

Don't waste your time. Breakfast came half an hour apart from each other and forgot half of our meal. Didn't have chance also.

Amazing sandwich. Expensive but worth it. Coffee was so-so, but I'll try something else next time. Wifi speeds are really good here and the fan makes it pleasant to stay longer.. perfect for going online or playing a game of chess.

Very delicious and always great service! Besides, we always prepared everything fresh. Highly recommended are the smoothies and coffees as well as the breakfast rolls. The prices are appropriate to the quality. As a couple, you usually leave the café at just over 200,000.
